SAT Prep Classes

IMPORTANT LOCATION CHANGE!
All SAT Prep classes scheduled to be held at the HOLTON CAREER and RESOURCE CENTER have been moved to the STAFF DEVELOPMENT CENTER located at 2107 Hillandale Road.
Community Education in Durham Public Schools offers SAT Prep classes several times throughout the school year at various sites. Class sessions focus on:
- an overview of the SAT
- types of questions to expect
- test taking tactics
- budgeting your time
- strategies for math
- strategies for critical reading and writing
A certified teacher instructs each class. The class ratio is 1:10.
Classes are 12 hours in length, meeting six times for two hours each.
Students need to be on time and bring a pencil, notebook and calculator
to each class. Every effort should be made to attend every class
meeting. Make-up classes are NOT available.
A minimum enrollment of 13 students must be met to offer each class.
CLASSES THAT DO NOT MEET MINIMUM ENROLLMENT WILL BE CANCELLED. You will
be contacted if the class is canceled.
Registrants must be enrolled in or have completed Geometry and English
II.
